The Artisan Market is a biannual event held in Dar es Salaam, occurring in May and late November or early December. This one-day market runs from 9 am to 5 pm, usually taking place on the last Saturday of May or November.
Participation in the Artisan Market entails a rigorous application process. Prospective vendors must complete the requisite forms and provide images showcasing their latest products. This protocol applies to both new applicants and returning vendors. Following a thorough review, the Artisan Market team will communicate acceptance or rejection via email. Accepted applicants can settle table fees conveniently through Mpesa.
The selection process is integral to our commitment to curating each Market meticulously, ensuring an event brimming with quality, creativity, and innovation every time.
We actively seek imaginative handmade products, artisanal furniture, repurposed goods, and top-tier arts and crafts. Priority is accorded to creators who exhibit innovation and contribute to broader community welfare through training or employment initiatives.
We offer a dedicated Art Gallery platform to showcase artists of all calibres, genres, and styles.

Each year the Artisan Market will be held on a Saturday, at the Little Theatre in Oysterbay (Dar es Salaam) from 9 am to 5 pm. We aim to hold the market twice a year in May and November. Please follow our social media and watch our calendar announcement space for the next date.This outdoor market features tented spaces, with each booked table (approximately 1.5m x 0.8m) accompanied by two chairs. Please note that table decor and presentation is your responsibility.
Submitting an application does not guarantee a spot as we carefully select creative and innovative products for each Market to ensure its success. We'll respond to your email with a confirmation or rejection, so please be patient. Space is limited, and priority is given to handmade products, handicrafts, and art. If you have joined the Market before, you will still need to reapply each time.
Incomplete applications will be automatically rejected. The exhibitors who have not been selected will be directed automatically to the waiting list. Sending an email does not automatically confirm your space at the market.
